A. To keep the phone awake while using the app, go to Settings > Display & Brightness and adjust the Auto-Lock setting to 'Never' while using the app. Remember to change it back after use to save battery life.

B. As a workaround, you can use the volume buttons on your hearing aids (if available) to adjust the volume without needing to wake the phone.
